Today, I made a cardigan for a top I got from Kohls. This is an easy DIY for anyone with basic sewing skills! First, cut out a rectangle out of a fabric of your choice. (I got my fabric from Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts.) Make sure it's the length you want it. Then measure out how far apart the arm holes should be. I cut out arm holes on a scrap piece of paper, then traced it (with a fabric disappearing marker) onto the fabric. Next, cut out the arm holes. In order to put this in the washer, you will need to sew a hem on the cardigan. This way, the edges won't get ruined. Sewing the hem also gives it a more finished look.

What is a hem? https://www.google.com/search?sugexp=chrome,mod=0&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=what+is+a+hem#hl=en&q=hem&tbs=dfn:1&tbo=u&sa=X&ei=FLX4T6S4E4TErQGx9eGLCQ&sqi=2&ved=0CE8QkQ4&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=a2e370afc0354df8&biw=1366&bih=600

  1. I like the folds in the cardigan, and I love the glitter on the shirt that matches the cardigan!
